Based in Middlewich, Ansa Environmental Services wants to do all it can to help the local community during these uncertain times.
As we have seen over recent weeks, the Coronavirus outbreak has had a major impact on the lives and livelihoods of many people. Ansa Environmental Services is a vital part of both the local community, and the country’s public health response, ensuring that we remove and dispose of waste to prevent the spread of infection.
Ansa provides waste management services, fleet management, parks and grounds maintenance, as well as street cleansing services for Cheshire East and other clients. We are very aware of the impact this situation is having on most industries and we want to support our local community and offer as much as we can in terms of employment. As a business, we too have been affected with employees needing to self-isolate or look after loved ones, so it seems a natural step to approach the local workforce, who are also experiencing a temporary change to their circumstances.
Internally we are offering training to our current workforce to ensure continuity of service as well as upskilling our available employees. We’re pulling together as a team to ensure business as usual for our community.
Managing Director, Kevin Melling said, ‘We employ approximately 400 staff and we have come a long way in such a short space of time.
We are very proud of our achievements which we couldn’t have attained without the dedicated and committed workforce that we are fortunate to have. We have encountered many challenges along the way and now we are faced with possibly the biggest challenge of them all. We know that many families are worried about their jobs and they may be facing a temporary change in circumstances. We can help. We need; LGV class 2 drivers, sweeper drivers, mechanics, large plant operators, waste collection loaders and street cleansing operatives. Please contact the agencies we are currently working with to register your interest. Relevant training may be available depending on the role.’
